The online cosmetic surgery community is made up of hundreds of thousands of members who converse with, and support, each other daily through online message boards and other platforms. If you’ve stumbled upon this page, you may even be a member of this community yourself. One very small corner of this world, a popular website, has over 30,000 registered surgeons, doctors, and practices, alone. The community of interest offline surpasses that number ten-fold.
In the summer of 2019, as I prepared for my BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift), underwent my procedure, and tracked/documented every step of my 6-12 month recovery, I shared my experience with thousands of “Dolls” as they were all in different stages of their own BBL journeys. I spent months and months privately messaging with thousands of women answering questions when they were uncertain, offering guidance when they were in need, and offering solutions when they were in fear. We didn’t just bond, we lived and breathed the meaning of sisterhood. We often shared that we became closer to each other than some of us were to our own family and friends. That’s a massive amount of trust and love! Along the way, I noticed a gap in the industry that a step-by-step educational guide book would partially satisfy. The community was not only in need of of a physical product, but virtual resources as well.
Enter: Dolls In Training.
Over the course of 10 months, my IG platform organically reached 10k followers, and I was dubbed “The BBL Encyclopedia.” Now 4 years after joining the community, I proudly and humbly serve nearly 30k BBL-hopefuls. I offer post-op care resources in three countries, thirty states, and hundreds of cities all over the globe…a map-based and review-driven database that the community didn’t have until I put it together! When COVID hit us in March of 2020, I determined that I was in a place to start a company and put my experience and qualifications to use.
